Abstract
|
|
|
This is a retrospective study of 50gm oral glucose screening test(GST) which was done 1054 pregnant women between April and August 1994. 100gm oral glucose tolerance test(GTT) was done in all above GST which was over 130mg%.
@ES The results were as follows.
@EN 1. The positive rate of GST was 32.9%.
2. The gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) rate was 3.8% in GST positive group but 2% in GST negative group also. The overall incidence of GDM was 5.12%.
3. The GDM rate were 6% in 175~179mg%, 1.8~1.9% in 130~139mg% of GST.
4. There were significant increase in familly history of DM, age, obesity, No of over 30 years old pregnant women, glucosuria, Cesarian section in positive group in GTT except glucosuria.
5. In the body weight of newborn, there was no significant difference between the control group, screening positive but negative in GTT group and GDM group.
6. Among patients who have positive GST but negative GTT, 28 patients(9.1%) were 1-abnormal GTT value. In this group, there was no difference with GDM group cinically. But 1 patient had occured shoulder dystocia.
7. In GDM group, the mean value of HbA10 was 5.43% and 68.0% of GDM patients had been treated with diet control orally and 4.3% had been treated with insulin. 91.5% of GDM had abnormal 2hr-blood glucose value in GTT.
